Board Exam Preparation Timeline: What to Do 90, 30 and 7 Days Before Exams
Board preparation is easier when divided into phases. Follow the official syllabus and exam calendar and adjust the plan to the student’s current understanding.
About 90 days before
Create a chapter checklist for each subject and mark topics strong, developing or not understood. Prioritise foundational gaps and use weekly targets with recall practice rather than only rereading notes.
About 30 days before
Increase timed practice using reliable sample and previous papers. After each paper, classify mistakes: concept gap, misread question, calculation error, incomplete answer or time management. Revisit the topic and retry a similar question.
Final seven days
Review formulas, definitions, diagrams and your error log. Avoid starting many new resources. Maintain sleep and prepare stationery, admit card and travel arrangements early.
Exam-day habits
- Check the centre, reporting time and instructions.
- Allocate time across sections.
- Show working clearly when method marks apply.
- Leave time to review unanswered questions.
